Privacy Policy
Effective August 12, 2026
This policy explains how Lumina Atlas collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our courses, AI tools, Notebook, accounts, and paid subscriptions.
1. Information we collect
- Account data: email address, user identifier, authentication events, and account settings.
- Learning data: notes, saved excerpts, uploaded sources, course progress, and Notebook content you choose to store.
- AI interactions: your prompts, AI responses, and the current page content when page sharing is enabled. You can turn page sharing off before sending a prompt.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, security logs, error records, and basic usage analytics.
- Billing data: subscription status, product, renewal and cancellation dates, customer identifiers, and limited transaction details. Payment card information is processed by Creem and is not stored by Lumina Atlas.
2. How we use information
We use information to provide and secure accounts, synchronize Notebook data, operate AI features, deliver courses, manage subscription access, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, communicate service or billing notices, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Service providers
We use service providers including Cloudflare for hosting and security, Supabase for authentication and database services, Google Gemini for AI responses, and Creem as merchant of record for payments, taxes, subscription administration, refunds, and chargebacks. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
4. AI and page sharing
When page sharing is enabled, relevant lesson text may be included with your prompt so the AI can answer in context. Do not submit confidential, highly sensitive, or legally protected information. AI output may be inaccurate and should be independently checked.
5. Storage and retention
We retain account and learning data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward when needed for security, backups, disputes, or legal obligations. Billing records may be retained for the periods required by Creem, tax, accounting, and applicable law. You may request deletion, subject to required retention.
6. Cookies and local storage
We use browser storage and essential cookies for authentication, security, preferences, and feature continuity. We may add privacy-respecting analytics in the future and will update this policy if the data practices materially change.
7. International processing
Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, appropriate contractual or legal safeguards are used by the relevant provider.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or delete personal data. You can close AI page sharing, delete Notebook items, sign out, or request account assistance by contacting us.
9. Children
Lumina Atlas is not directed to children under 13. Users below the age at which they may independently consent to online services in their country should use the service only with permission and supervision from a parent or guardian.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your password private and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. Material updates will be identified by a revised effective date and, when appropriate, an additional notice.
